Khyr is a born leader with a smiling personnality.
His mother was a Tiefling.
The only mark of his diabolic heritage is his shiny golden eyes that see in the dark.
He is usually seen in a loose, comfortable, golden leather armor, accented with deep purple and dark red, and paired with a wide musketeer's feathered hat.
He is always cleanly shaved, with very short hair.
Eight throwing daggers are proeminently displayed on his hips, easily accessible (and two are always hidden up his sleeves).
He lived a happy childhood in St-Élie with his parents.
They were shopkeepers, known to carry a handful of magic items in their small-ish town, earning them some fame and coin.
The father, Renaud, was a keen negotiator and a passionate collector.
The mother, Destiny, was somewhat feared, as she used her bloodline's basic magic to prevent thieves from getting their way in the shop.
They were generous to their community and tried to help the town as best they could, but her reputation was always an obstacle: they were never quite trusted.
Khyr was not really affected.
He always had an easy time making friends, and his difference —his eyes— was often overlooked by children (who didn't care) and adults (who had seen weirder things).
He got involved in the church of Sarenrae, spreading healing magic to those in need.
He learned music and ritual dances.
He would take his violin to both religious occasions and local festivities, where it would often be very welcome. He named it Muriel.
Rumors of war in nearby countries eventually reached their small town.
Asmodean and Iomedean fanatics were spreading their law, and it wasn't clear how well Sarenrae's cult would be accepted.
The tense climate meant poor business in the shop, and general discontentment.
Racism against Tieflings grew to a peak: people started arguing that having "that" around would bring ill fortune, or that she would side with the Asmodean invaders.
Khyr defended his mother at every occasion.
Eventually, he heard a group talking about using force to drive his family out of town.
The confrontation ended very badly, a fight broke out, and Khyr killed a man (Anthony Pintal).
He went to the head of the church, confessed, and cast himself out.
For a while, he went around, using his healing skills and his entertainer talents to pay his bills.
He often sent word home.
His parents would reply, saying the town ruled in their favor and they were safe now.
Khyr didn't feel like he had attuned, and after a while grew to enjoy the life of a traveller.
Eventually he met a few like-minded individuals, and decided to temporarily settle down to found a guild.
The new challenges were interesting, and there would still be a lot of moving around in this life, or so he hoped.
Khyr ended up being very involved in the revolution in Trois-Montagnes, trying to bring freedom to the people.
Unwittingly, he killed Fencan Aenissan, the commander of the Trois-Montagnes Army.
This reawakened bad memories for Khyr, but he was too involved to stop, too many people were counting on him.
He pushed the feelings down, deciding he'll address it all once the revolution is complete, but this might push him to act hastily.
