Created by a Lastwall druid as undead-fighting cannon fodder, Thuja survived his first battle, carving a path through the battlefield and somehow ending up on the other side. Not really prepared for this, he just keep travelling in a straight line. He got very, very lost. Atop a large hill, he stumbled upon an old shrine of Balumbdar, where an old hermit got a good laugh at being asked immediately if he was an undead, "because I gotta fight the undead." The hermit, Bolo the fat, taught him a trick or two about the forest and a thing or two about the world. Thuja is used as a busboy to fetch stuff from town, every once in a while.
